October 11th was
the one month
anniversary of our lives being altered by the tragedies
in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. Since that time, we
have all struggled to determine how to help in some way
by giving blood, time, or money.
I spotted this American flag billboard at Wells
and Erie in Chicago with the Sears tower and Merchandise
Mart looming behind. It struck me as a powerful symbol
of the hope and strength of our nation.
Each American city claims identity
with their unique landmark; it's hard to grasp the
fact that New York has lost theirs...temporarily. In a
few short years they'll have new landmarks on that site to
bear tribute to all New Yorkers lost and living.
Ron and I have searched for ways in
which we could offer our services. As a result of our
collaboration, we just released this image in print in order
to do our part to raise funds for the American
Red Cross relief fund.
One half of the proceeds from the sale of the original
painting, its Fine Art Prints and Fine Art Cards will be
donated to the American Red
Cross.
